DO YOU SHOOT DESTINATION WEDDINGS ?
Absolutely ! We love to travel and are suckers for new places and new cultures. We take on contracts to many unique destinations across the globe. The fee structure for destination weddings are the same as any local wedding with the travel, boarding and lodging which is chargeable additionally. Certain conditions apply but that’s pretty much it. We love to travel. Don’t let distance cause you to hesitate one bit.
WHAT IS REQUIRED TO BOOK YOU FOR MY WEDDING?
50 % deposit along with a signed contract is required to book the date . This deposit makes sure that we block your wedding dates in our calendar. The remaining balance is due 7 days prior to the wedding date. The dates are booked on first-come, first-serve basis once we receive the contract and reservation fee.
WHAT IS ON THE USB THAT YOU GIVE ME?
You get all the high res ready to print, digital files. All images are the ones selected and edited at the photographers’ discretion. We reserve the right to edit and release only those images deemed creditable as professional in quality and within our artistic standards. We typically deliver between 100-150 edited images per day along with the unedited ones that run in thousands. You also get a small web version to place on your social media sites. Those images have the SOULMATE WEDDINGS logo so that our photos are protected from infringement.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET MY PHOTOS BACK?
We process orders on a timeline basis. The first weddings of the year will get their photos first. Generally you should allow a window period of 8-12 weeks for the photos and videos to be retouched, edited and placed on the USB drive to be mailed to you. Our albums take approximately the same time to complete. These albums are custom-designed by us and printed by, in our opinion the finest printing facilities and labs.
CAN I DECIDE TO ORDER AN ALBUM AFTER I GET MY PHOTOS?
Of course ! It’s never too late to decide to invest in an album. However the opposite can’t be done. If the album is already added in your contract, it cannot be removed after it’s signed up for.
DO WE GET A REVIEW SESSION WITH YOU TO DECIDE WHICH PHOTOS WE WANT ON THE DVD?
No. Given the fact that we give you ALL your wedding photos, there’s no need to pick and choose which you want! We simply send you your USB drive, when its ready.
IS SHIPPING OF MY PHOTOS AND ALBUMS INCLUDED IN YOUR PRICES?
No. Our packages are priced for our photography and cinematography services only. The reason being that we cannot predict where our clients are going to be from. We wouldn’t want to charge you 1000 rupees for shipping if your wedding is a local one. It’s not fair right? For that reason, all shipping must be paid before we send it off to you.
WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN YOU AND THE OTHER PHOTOGRAPHERS?
We are quality conscious, service oriented and our clientele is taken care of like a family. We are artists and our artwork speaks for us. Plus we are really nice to hangout with on your special day !
DO YOU HAVE ANY LIMITS ON COVERAGE TIME AND THE NUMBER OF PHOTOS TAKEN ON THE WEDDING DAY?
Never any limit on the number of photos taken. Usually photographers stick to the 8 hour rule but we offer our packages with 12 hours of coverage given that there is a break of about 4 hours in between two ceremonies on that day, for example mehendi and sangeet or haldi and mehendi. If the ceremonies however continue into the wee hours of the next morning like it usually happens during Indian weddings and the vidayii, every extra hour is chargeable on pro rata basis. It’s only fair that we get paid for those extra hours instead of us charging you the fee for an entire following day because of a few extra hours. It’s a win win for everyone. We are pretty much yours at the going rate whenever you need us throughout the day.
DO YOU TAKE WEDDING DAY FAMILY PORTRAITS AND STAGE SHOTS ON THE RECEPTION?
We concentrate on the candid moments of the wedding because that’s where our personal expertise lie. We do however provide traditional photographers to our clients upon request to cover the grip-n-grin stage shots and family portraits on the wedding and on the reception day.
CAN MY UNCLE TAKE PHOTOS ON THE WEDDING DAY? HE HAS A PROFESSIONAL CAMERA.
He sure can… as long as he stays out of our cross hairs and doesn’t accidentally photo-bomb your professional wedding day photographs because you don’t want your guests to spoil each and every frame of yours with them and their phones, iPads and DSLRs popping in them. This is as important for you as it is for us.
DO YOU OFFER VIDEOGRAPHY SERVICES?
Yupp, we do.
DO YOU PERSONALLY SHOOT THE WEDDINGS OR SEND YOUR INTERNS TO COVER THEM FOR YOU?
We are two primary shooters who take our love for the art rather too seriously. We will personally shoot your wedding and never send an intern to fill up for us. Both of us travel together to click. In case of an unlikely event of one of us falling ill or having any other emergency; the other will be accompanied by an assistant but one of us will always be present or in case neither one of us is available due to some unforeseen circumstances, we will ensure that let you know and return your deposit.
